Lynette Ann Pifer Jones Lynette Ann Pifer Jones, 41, resident of Susanville, Calif., passed away Oct. 16, 2010 near her home. The cause of death is still under investigation. She was born June 2, 1969 in Portland, Ore., to George and Betty Pifer. She grew up the youngest of three daughters and loved to read and write poems and sto- ries. She loved to sing for her church, special music was al- ways looked forward to as she prepared with her mother or sister who would accompany her. Scrapbooking was also a way she enjoyed the memo- ries she was always making. Lynette loved to find someone to talk to and enjoyed dis- cussing the newest book she had just read. Just to visit with her was a joy. Her laughter was gently sewn into her voice and was quite contagious. She attended Milwaukie Beauty College in Clackamas, Ore., where she fine-tuned her skills in creativity and graduated with a degree in cosmetology. She went on to achieve her CAN license in Paradise, Calif. She is survived by both of her parents George and Betty Pifer, of Fall River Mills, Calif.; her matei'nal grand- parents Patti and Edna Berge- mann; her fiance' and soul mate Doug, of Susanville; her two sisters, Anita McGrew, of Powell Butte, Ore., and Ray- lene Feather, of Portland, Ore.; three nieces Elizabeth and Amanda Feather, and Michaela McGrew; and one nephew Jonathan McGrew. She wa preceded in death :by her paternal grandparents George and Evelyn Pifer; as well as a maternal Aunt Bar- bara. The memorial service for Lynette was held on Sabbath, Nov. 20, 2010 at Gladstone Park Seventh-Day, Adventist Church in Gladstone, Ore. She believed in the return of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and that she will rest asleep in death until he comes back. Her family and friends look forward to being reunited with her at the res- urrection that he has prom- ised in I Thessalonians 4:13- 18. Louis Edward Planellas Louis Edward Planellas, 76, passed away : :: Nov. 3, 2010. He was born != ..... to Eleanora Banta and Lloyd Henry PlaneUas on Dec. 8, 1933 m Los Angeles, Calif., where he attended Cathedral High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps for nine years and worked as a garden- er in L.A. County and also as a professiorral cook. Louis moved to Reno, Nev., in 1981 and lived there for 16 years before moving to Susanville in June 1997, where he lived for the remainder of his life. Louis loved cooking, barbe- quing, gardening, fishing, going to the lake and spend- ing time with family. He was a huge San Francisco Giants baseball fan and loved water- ing the cows at the ranch. He was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Su- sanville. He was preceded in death by his parents Eleanora Bantg and Lloyd Henry Planellas, and brothers Lloyd Planellas and Joe Planellas. Louis is survived by his two former spouses, Donna Frye and Patricia Dudley; sons Bruce Planellas, Chris (Katherine) Planellas and David Cook; daughters Vir- ginia (Charles) Puckett, Debo- rah (Donny) Weckner and Seanette (Chuck) Carmichael; as well as grand- children Gabriel Planellas, Philip Planellas, Charles Carmichael III, KC Carmichael, Sean May, Stacy Trehal, Brooke Honea, Koit Honea Jr., Natalie Cox, Lisa Campbell and Glry Oqletree;  and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, and funeral services were held on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at his church, the Gospel Taberna- cle. Alissa Ray Crone Alissa Ray Crone was born to Lauren and Jason Crone, of Susanville, Calif., at 2:09 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at Banner Lassen Medical Cen- ter in Susanville. She weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Laura Gorman and Kevin Dexter. Paternal grandparents are Dianna Joy and Dennis Crone. She joins brother Jacob, 4; and sisters Chloe, 8 and Emily, 3. Hunter David James Yancey Hunter David James Yancey was born to Amber- lynn Yancey, of Susanville, Calif., at 11:52 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 at Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville. He weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce and was 21-1/4 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Carrie and Don Yancey, of Cold Springs, Nev. Maternal great-grandpar- ents are Nancy and Gene Cain, of Herlong, Calif. Emma Marie Nelson Emma Marie Nelson was born to Rebecca and Charles Nelson, of Westwood, Calif., at 3:39 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville, Calif. She weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and was 21 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Evelyn and Craig Stone, of Westwood.
