OWmial declarations of can- didacy for eligible candidates desiring to file for any of the elective offices may be ob- tained from the Office of the County Clerk located at the County Courthouse, 220 S. Lassen St., Ste. 5, Susanville, Calif.. 96130, on or after July 17, 2000 and must be filed not later than 5 p.m. on August 11, 2000; provided, if declarations of candidacy for an incumbent are not filed by the latter date and hour, eligible candidates, other than the incumbent for such office, shall have until 5 p.m. on Aug. 16, 2000, to file declarations of candidacy. The deadline for submittal of arguments for and against any county, school, or district measure will be Friday, Aug. 18, 2000. Persons wishing more infor- mation regarding filing for the elective offices, or submitting arguments for or against mea- sures, may call the County Clerk's Office at 530-251-8217.
