The city of Susanville filed a legal action on Tuesday, April 10, alleging Sickles Golf Associates had breached its long-term lease to operate the city-owned facility. Attorney Paul Pascuzzi, representing SGA, and Michael Hanks, representing Plumas Bank, both said they still had paperwork to file in the case. Pascuzzi and Hanks appeared by court telephone. Attorney Jamiee Jones told the court her clients, Frank Cady and Eric Vial, stake- holders in SGA, were not named in the city's action but should be allowed to partici- pate in the proceedings because decisions made in the case will affect them financially. Hayden encouraged all the parties to cooperate because that was the "only way to save anything for anybody." Golfers may use the course on an honor pay and play sys- tem. The restaurant in the club house has opened and the pro shop may open soon. The grand opening of the Nakoma Golf Resort Is out of business two years ago, much remodeling friendly.
